White letter tires (tyres)?

As you may already know many of my 1/43 models require white letter tires. Some did not come with them. Other than swapping the tires what is the best/easiest way to add white letters to blackwalls?

I also could use several sets.

Try GPM searching under decals.

They have various sheets with tires logos that may be of use.

Frank, there are four ways that I know of............

1) Decals (as mentioned above) ...Water-slide that is, everyone is fimilar with these. The trick is to find them in 1/43 scale.

2) Dry transfer decals. More time involved AND the decals will have to be set but if the model is NOT handled much...it works!

3) Paint them on with Tamiya acrylic flat white. Of course you'll need an EXCELLENT magnifing glass, a STEADY hand and a 0.0 brush...but it can be done.

4) Lastly, you can have a rubber stamp made (in a radius shape). Yes, this will cost some money and it's a bit tricky to get just enough paint/ink without smearing but you can knock out dozens of cars in less than an hour.

Frank, I know none of these ideas fall in the "easy-peazy" category but unless you have your own "tampo machine" this is about it.

Good luck!
-Chris
