Toy collection - estate sale - for anyone living near Oak Ridge,TN (USA)
Just saw this: Dr. Rueff Toy Collection Sale. What do you think? Worth checking out?
According to his Obit, he also collected antique cars (1:1).
Karl, Lets go and give Harvey competition.
Craaaaaaap! Right in my own backyard and I will be out of town that weekend!
I never even knew about this guy!
Hey David - maybe you should come over the Smokies for this!
Looking for GADM Buick Wildcat ll in blue
Any info on one for sale would be appreciated. Please contact me at oldsman41@yahoo.com Thank's in advance.
I'm thinking about it! Thanks, Karl, for the information.
Pictures & descriptions do not look like too much we might want.
I've requested a list of the lots, they do mention Tootsie, Corgi, Dinky so Karl, David H., and I could find items of interest. Chris too if he was over here. But I didn't see any boxes, so if the items aren't mint, I may have little interest.
Still, it's annoying that I never met the guy. I wonder how many other diecast collectors are lurking in the Knoxville-Oak Ridge area that I don't even know about.
It's a 3-day auction, I may try to make one of the days.
1;43 or not still looks like some cool stuff ! Wish I could go.
More on this estate sale
It's an estate SALE, not auction, so I may take Friday off and check it out.
There's a "Part 2" sale in early November. I don't know if this is to catch up the unsold items, or if there's so much that they can't do it all at once. OR, they may price items high the first go-around, and cut prices in November.
The more I look at pics though, the less I am impressed with the condition and rarity of items.
