Following on the recent discussion about duplicate models and why we do it...

In Chicago, I was stopping by Frank's table to settle up when he plunked this model down in front of me and dared me to buy it.

I already have one of these quirky 1951 Frazer Manhattans in my collection, but it's such a charming piece, and Frank was offering it at a price I simply couldn't refuse. So I snagged it as an "extra". Well, no sooner did I get home then I spotted another one on ePay in blue - I had to have it. So now I have three but I take comfort in knowing that the third one is at least in a different color!

Oh, and for those eagle eyed folks out there, I haven't installed the driver's side mirror yet on the blue one.

Randy, you can never have too much of a good thing!  Those ‘51 Frazers are beautiful.

They are super cool.  I don't recall ever seeing this model.

I have the green top up version. One of the finest models made IMO.

Excellent models. I have an open version in Indian Ceramic, I'm still looking for a closed version.

Those Frazers are very cool!  I snagged John's photo 5 years ago for HDB.  Now I'll need to add your blue one if that is OK?

@jcarnutz Looks like I've got to find that one, too! I LOVE that color. It reminds me of the color that Frank Lloyd Wright selected for his autos. And I think our collections mirror each other's in a lot of ways. Thanks for sharing the pic.

I love these cars; they hold such a unique (if not too terribly popular ) place in American post war automotive history. I'd love to see one in 1/18 scale!!
