Just received notice that Lloyd Ralston will be selling Ray Paszkiewicz's collection on July 13. Part of me wants to shut up about this, because I'm just inviting more bid competition. But I figure something as big as this won't be a secret for long. I just did a quick run-through and the list is amazing. 500 lots - Motor City, Top Marques, early Conquest & Madison, Brooklin, BBR, B&G (here's Nickies's chance to get a Duesey), Victory, La Familia - and this may be the first of a series of high-end auctions (historically Ralston deals in toys with the occasional Brooklin).
"The Frank" recently mentioned he noticed that BRK Buick Collection models were going pretty cheap on ebay. In today's Vectis auction a fair number of Lansdownes didn't top 50 pounds. And recent MAR articles show 1:64 high-detail models are gaining quickly in popularity. Many of the Paszkiewicz items have been made in better detail by newer resin makers (and yes, there is Matrix, Esval, etc. in the auction too). So I am really curious what the items will bring, and if 1:43 could be going the way of the buggy whip.
Do I bid like crazy or not? That is the question. If Ralston does well with this, I know where I will instruct my heirs to ship parts of my collection when I kick off. Enough rambling from me....
Harv, assuming you follow the bidding, would you let us know selling price ranges for Conquest and Motor City models? Thanks

Thanks for the tip - I'll follow them to see how it goes, and put in some low bids for sure!
The listings of the Conquest 1952 Buicks are in fact Motor City 1949 Buicks as pictured and extremely rare. This will be interesting to see for how much they will go because when I sold them 15 years ago, I got more than $1200 a piece.
Also, at a 25% Premium buyer fee over the selling price for any winning bid, plus shipping, even a $200 model become very expensive.
