Those are both beautiful models. Neither of which I have.

Agreed, they are beautiful models.  There is a third WMCE 1941 Buick, a maroon and white closed convertible.  It is also very nice and one of my favorites. Here are a few pictures.  I did not attach the mirror and antenna.

I have the woody in Lexington Grey (#10 of 30). I recall Buz saying that the one that was measured for the WMCE series was this color.

Western WMCE 14 Buick Woodie

That black convertible is really sharp!

@ed-davis I had the Maroon one many years ago. They were nice models for the time but now there is the GLM in Black or Yellow that is far better.

I have the black GLM version also....it is one one of the very few models that I have both the resin and white metal version of the exact same year, make and model, and I strongly disagree that the resin model is better than the white metal version...it is my opinion that the WMCE white metal version is far superior in every way.

I have both and can compare them easily.

Do you have the GLM version to make your assessment?

I do not have the GLM model.

That question was for nickies.....he stated the GLM version was better than the WMCE version.

@ben-lampson When he states "many years ago" perhaps it was a pre-Buz, pre-WMCE Western he was referring to. In that case he could be correct.

@mg-harv

I also thought he could have been referring to a regular Western model, but he stated he had a maroon version, and that only could have been a WMCE issue.

It doesn't matter with him though....he puts down white metal models every chance he gets.

I think he bought Brooklins at retail value when they were very crude and toy like, and he got burned when he sold his collection.

He admits to having only about 12 resin models in his collection.

He asks a lot of questions about upcoming or recent releases, but I believe that he has no intention of purchasing any.

@ben-lampson Yes, I have the GLM in black and "all" the details are far superior. Just look at the wheels and hubcaps, the badging and the interior trim. Of course you are entitle to your opinion.

Furthermore, if you don't like my comments and questions you have the privilege to pass and read something else. The size of my collection and my taste is not your business.

@mg-harv If I remember I bought them around 2003. I also had the 1941 Century in two tone grey and the 1941 Special police car.

Of course you are entitle to your opinion

All opinions are welcome here, but don't speak bad about the Goldvarg models......

goldvarg 197205182

The name is Goldvarg, Sergio Goldvarg..... crime fighter by day, and has a little side gig moonlighting at night making models.
