After a long break, the latest 1:43 Zaugg Model Car, a 1950 Mercury, is now appearing.

Gorgeous! Love the two-tone green version and that race iteration!!
@perrone1 My second car was a 1950 Mercury coupe which I bought in 1956 for $600.00. I have to have this to display next to my Brooklin 49 and Zaugg 51.
They look super nice.
@karl, I appreciate your regular spotlights and links to MAR. I often forget to check in there for lots of great content.
For me as a collector of 1/43 Fords rebirth of the 1950 Mercury by Zaugg are good news. But I don't think that I'll be able to purchase anyone because our stores don't order white metal models because of current situation.
I have got in my collection the 1949 Mercury by Brooklin in refiished version but hope to find 1950 and 1951 versions. Perhaps I'll manage to buy a version by Tin Wizard on the secondary market to fill the 1950 gap if it's possible. For the 1951 the most realistic variant for me is Franklin Mint.
1949-50 Mercury coupes are a popular model subject, done by Brooklin, Road Champs (with a Kager transkit to a woody), Eagle.(Universal Hobbies?) and MiniChamps in a Ford commemorative series. The black Eagle one always reminds me of the car James Dean drove in Rebel Without a Cause.

I think its due to the large grin on its face! 😋
Seems to be that Tin Wizzard added chrome and photo- etched details and offers interesting variants and color combination. But not sure that old mould has been reworked. It means that this selection of models isn't in 1/43.
