I do have a fair amount of 1/64 "stuff" and every now & then I chime in here. This is my Land Rover Defender..."gett'n dirty!" 😏 😏

Yeah, I think so too...  all factory stock. I had nothing to do with it.

@chris

I agree with you about 1/64 scale getting better and better. I have also seen this trend with 1/64 scale trucks and 1/72 scale military models. I occasionally post pictures of some of these.

Two more things, who made the model and is it diecast, resin, or plastic?

Hi Ed,

It's diecast and it's made by Mini GT (hard to find in the States).  I've got a few more on "pre-order" from them including this....Are you ready? .... 1/64 1954 Lincoln Capri 2-door hardtop. (I owned two as collector cars for many years).

Here's a few prototype pics:

@chris

I am familiar with Mini GT. I have a C8 Corvette from them. It is very nice, but I have not removed it from package. I had only seen sport cars from Mini GT, so I checked the Diecast Direct website, where I bought the car. The Defender is now shown there. The Lincoln is a surprise to me. I wonder if they will do more American cars from that era.

I sure HOPE more American cars are coming...especially cars we haven't really seen before in this scale, like this Lincoln Capri. Can you imagine MINI GT detail tooled up on say, a 1/64 1956 Packard or 1958 Oldsmobile?  How about a detailed 1/64 1958 Ford or 1959 Pontiac? I could go on and on....    My fingers are crossed! @chris  Chris I agree with you 100%. Models of American cars by Green Light and AW are amazing.

Another nice thing, they do not take up much space.

That's a great point Ed. I have too many walls that look like this....
