It looks like I have come full circle! I started collecting Matchbox in the early 1960s, and after gradually going up in scale over the decades, I am now back to obsessing over 1:64 scale! The 1993 Rolls-Royce Corniche IV from GFCC is simply stunning! I'm sure I will end up collecting all of the color combinations!

...yep! You - especially - are aware that GFCC makes many great 1/64 vehicles. It's a slippery slope, be advised. 😉 😯 😏
The fit, finish and detailing are superb. And not just for the scale - for ANY scale. Beautiful car!
That looks awesome. I have some nice 1/64 scale model cars and trucks, but that beats them all.

I never had any interest in Matchbox, M2 Machines, Johny Lightning, etc because they were to toy like (especially the large door gaps and silver painted trim). But when GFCC started making 1/64 scale models, my interest started to change. Granted, they are pricey. About a year ago, you could get one for about $30 CDN. Now they are over $50 Cdn for new releases. Some special editions(such as the Ralph Laren Ferraris) are even more. But you are getting a model with incredible detail. Photo etched parts, very detailed engine compartments, very tiny magnets to hold the hoods in place, excellent paint and phenomenal spoke wheels (Ferraris) and tires, optional hardtops and convertible tops on the sports cars. I once tried to add detailed painting to a GFCC Ferrari engine but it was impossible even with a high grade magnifying glass. I have all of their releases Ferrari, Mercedes, Jaguar, BMW , Rolls Royce and have never been disappointed with any of them. They also offer each in an assortment of colors to satisfy everyones taste. I am getting away from 1/43 scale as the prices on resin models are now approaching $200 CDN. GFCC 1/64 offers a great alternative.
@kenspear "Too toy-like" was why many stayed away. Although, I used to add realism 40 years ago - long before it became fashionable. Today, as you noted, 1/64 is a legitimate collector scale.
Years ago, I could've never imagined such convincing opening features or fine detail in 1/64....... 😎 😎 😎
@chris. After looking at your first photo, I must say that the Lincoln Capri by MiniGt is one of the exceptions to lower priced 1/64 that offer great realism and value. They are a nice fit between the lower priced toys and the higher priced GFCCs.. I have the yellow with black roof street version and I only wish that MiniGt would make more American cars from this period. I think its the absence of door and hood lines that gives this model a more cleaner and realistic appearance. If I hear of any American releases coming soon from MiniGt I will share this information in a post. Thanks for posting your pics Chris.
@kenspear I could speak all day about MINI GT's '54 Lincolns. The one you see here was modified by me - I removed the skirts - as they were always absent during Mexican Road Races. I have other colors too, including the Canterberry green that matches my real 1:1 '54 Capri that owned for several years.
MINI GT does produce the red "Bond" Mustang, although the wheels are a bit large and I'll need to change the interior color after I get one.
- But yes, I'd LOVE to see MANY more American cars from MINI GT; they do a nice job. Please keep us in the loop! 😀 😀 😀
I have three MiniGT 1954 Lincolns, all nice. I have a collection of about 80 cars and trucks in 1/64 scale, about 80% cars. Many are nicely detailed. However, the latest resin models have them all beat for detail.

MiniGT makes a "non-Bond" version of the 71 Mustang with better wheels, and has a nice looking 64 coming out.

@daveg When do you plan to add the non-Bond 1971 Mustangs to your website? I would like to get the yellow one.

@chris My error, it should say Lincoln. I corrected my earlier post reply.

@ed-davis Should be soon. My distributor said they would be in this month.
