As I noted, removing the skirts was a must! Eventually I will fashion working steering AND re-do the interior. Relocating the exhaust was also necessary for accuracy, but it hangs too low. I will fix this when I tackle the interior & steering upgrades. The wheels are MUCH better than those shown in prototype pics (what a relief! )
The paint & graphics on this 1/64 diecast are amazing and I can tell you (because I once owned '54 Lincolns ) that the interior door panels & dash are fairly accurate...everything else, not so much. 😔 😔
Eventually, I'd like to create a detailed diorama w/a few cars & figures. As always.... stay tuned. 🤔 😏
Intricate work at this small size, Chris. This is a good looking model. All my Carrera Panamerican cars are in 1/43 scale. With this quality, I need to add some 1/64 versions.
@david-green Thanks David. You mentioned "quality." Well, you're spot on. It took me a little over an hour to remove those skirts using a Dremel & hand files; there's no shortage of diecast in these little Lincolns! When I finish all my other planned upgrades, I'll post pics on the Model-Related Handicrafts Forum. Stay tuned....
Interesting project Chris. Looking good so far. Can't wait to see the final results.
I just received these two Lincolns and am also very impressed with the quality and the graphics.
Your work looks good. I only have the yellow and black Lincoln, and at least from the outside, it is a well done model.

@kenspear Thanks Ken..... I can't wait either. I should be working on it right now, but I'm so lazy! 😀 🙄 😯

I completely agree! These Lincoln bodies are very well cast, really nice. The interiors, overall, are just so-so. 🙄 🙄 Thanks for the compliment.
