Visiting from the 143 forum. Another donation received at an our Model Railroad Museum included the small (approx 1/87) vehicles pictured.

AHI
Japanese diecast and tinplate toys, including trucks. Various sizes including classic diecast HO.
The acronym AHI also stands for Azrak Hamway International, which was a US company distributing those type toys founded in 1964.
The original Japanese manufacturer's name is Naito Shoten based in Tokyo. They started up in 1948 and made tinplate toys and robots, and the smaller diecast range called AHI. Mike Pigott (Diecast Collector Sep 2021) reports that they had no connection to AHI in the US.
AHI made different sets of toy vehicles, sold in groups of 12: Matchbox knock-offs, commercial vehicles, military, American cars, European cars, old timers, etc.
Any further info or comments welcome.

It looks like a very cool collection here. There were certainly lots of vehicles made by a multitude of companies, especially in the past. Many in the 1950's came from Hong Kong and Japan. I have a small American-style "police automobile" made in Japan out of tin in the 1950's and it is a rather quaint and treasured vehicle.

THANK YOU for this info. I vividly remember seeing a complete set about 100 years ago but knew NOTHING about them. Although crude in execution, I was nonetheless impressed with their tiny size AND the effort involved capturing each make's character.
Overall, I thought they were pretty darn cool. 😎 😎 I have NO idea about value other than to assume a "MIB" set such as this would NOT be cheap. 🤔 🤔
@chris saw one on the bay asking 120 for the set (12} in box? ✌️
