Thanks for this one JK. Nice to see the Lincoln Futura concept that formed the basis for that first historic Batmobile. Looks fantastic for 1/64.

Thanks, John ! What a beautiful concept car. That's the future I was dreaming of, too ........

(and wonderful background music)

The detail and perfect proportion on these 1/64 models these days is extraordinary. And for one of the most amazing car designs, ever.

@charles-rockett

You are correct about the detail.  I have several 1/64 scale cars and trucks, including this one, and the level of detail on recent models is amazing.  Another set of models with lots of detail are 1/72 scale military vehicles, which I have sometimes shown on this forum.

I love this Lincoln and saw it months ago but don't have it (..yet ).  My Johnny Lightning  version is OK, but this HRN  is way better.

@ed-davis The basis of my collection is to delineate a design, and also a social history, (rather than being concerned with the history of model making itself) and so the cars all sit in lines with a backdrop intended to emphasise the epoch so indeed - your 1/72 military vehicles are ideal and certainly convey the events as the movies and documentaries describe to us. Altaya's range are incredibly cheap but very effective.

(For anyone interested in military matters, Mark Felton is well worth checking out on Youtube)

I have seen a number of his documentaries and they are very good. The one dealing with the subject of Himmler's end is intriguing and very interesting.

It's often unusual stuff that follows 'fog of war' realities rather than the clean-cut stories passed down to us. One I find interesting is on the last days of the Doenitz Government, two weeks after VE-Day.

It sounds like a very interesting Mark Felton documentary of a chaotic time.
