About five years ago I talked here about Husky Models which were available to compete with Lesney/Matchbox and early Hot Wheels.
Husky Models, made by Mettoy, the creator of Corgi Toys first appeared in 1964 and were sold exclusively by Woolworths in the USA & Canada and Britain until 1969. Many of these later appeared as Corgi Juniors. Here is a selection of some of the Jaguar issues as they appeared in their original bubble packs.
Here is the Jaguar Mk 10 in several variations. This was 39 cents when first introduced in 1964. By 1966 these were available in boxes.
The Mk 10 bases changed over time being made in both metal and plastic as shown here.
The Jaguar E-Type 2+2 was first introduced as model 21 at 39 cents, later becoming #71 at 49 cents. Note the change in packaging.
The Jaguar XJ6 was a relative late comer, issued as #49 and #89 both at 49 cents. There is a pale yellow issue that I do not have packaged.
@david-green More than that, it's the trauma of having your own clothing section.
HA! I remember these Husky cars; I had a few and LOVED them. And I was husky too..... I was a big for my age!
Those are all good-looking Husky automobile replicas from back then. Very attractive selection of Jaguars was offered. From that era of Jaguars, in that general size, I have Matchbox and Tootsietoy Jags.
This thread prompted me to track down my favorite Husky of all time...the Sunbeam Alpine! Just purchased on eBay.

@daveg Wow.... I've never seen that one before; it's very cool; I've always loved these Alpines/Tigers, thanks to Get Smart. Just yesterday I was looking at Cult's latest 1/18 "sealed" release and wishing it wasn't "sealed." 😔 😔 😔
@david-green I'll be damned..... I don't EVER remember seeing these HUSKYS! 😎 😎 😎
@david-green I have never seen the other versions! Very cool! I have spent the last six decades not knowing this...I wonder what else I missed... 🤣
