In 1958, my parents bought me a new 1958 Vauxhall Cresta which we picked up in England and eventually shipped to Canada.
See 1/43 Forum for details.
In 1958, LESNEY introduced the Vauxhall Cresta about the same time a sales started of the full sized car.
I bought all the variations of the Matchbox Lesney model that I could find as they came out. They were sold in 13 variations with production stopping in 1964.
Here are my survivors from that time. Unfortunately give current values, I gave them to my children as playthings in the late 1960s. My children certainly enjoyed them.
Here are the best of my eight survivors.
Note: There are two copper colour ones of slight tone difference.
Here are a few boxes. I lost the boxes years ago. Also, I never bought this strange two tone on the second box.
I remember having one of these, I think it was yellow. During the early 1960's I had some HO model trains, and I used the Lesney Matchbox models on my train layout. Thanks for the memories.

I still have most of these and love them. Nostalgia I guess.
