Although it is fun to look at old toys not many where actually 1:64th scale and those that were it was just a coincidence to fit a standard selection of boxes available or a blister.

Sure we do now have collector ranges that are 1:64th scale and these can be included. The prices some of these are for sale for will surprise even harden collectors.

I tend to agree Chris. I've actually posted here in 1:64 Forum, models ranging from 1/87 up to about 1/56 scale.

Especially historically, there was a significant range. HO train scale is 1/87. OO for trains from the UK is 1/76. It is only fairly recently that an attempt to standardize 1/64 scale has occurred.

Good suggestion Chris as it would more accurately define this forum.

These oldies are really small, but maybe not really to scale.  (But I like 'em anyway.)

Or am I pushing the limits too far?    David H Bruise

I spoke with Kevin. He's up for a change. I'm sure we'll see something soon.

The name change certainly reflects this section far better. Many thanks Kevin and you to John. Plus all the Forum members that supported this.

This old hard worked Matchbox 1:85th scale Grit Spreader built in the mid-1960's says thanks too.
