Here are some photos of a 1961 Chevrolet Impala made by Ertl about 15 to 20 years ago. The model has appeared in the background of some of my previous photos, but I thought it was time for some close ups. Ertl did several models at that time with lots of detail including opening hood, opening trunk, and chassis. This one also included a pair of side mirrors. Window trim on this one is nicely painted, and on some other models they used separate plated parts. I had to use a magnifier to read the Impala script on rear fenders, which is nicely done.

Very nice Ed. Certainly to a much higher standard than the ERTL Models of the World that I showed earlier.
That Ertl Impala looks excellent ! Very nicely done by them.
Ertl did a great job on this Impala. Door gaps look good, excellent proportions and I especially like the Impala script and flags on the rear side panels.
Wow! That's a great-looking model.

Ertl made many models of similar detail back then. I will be showing more of them in coming posts.

That's a great looking Chevy !
The 59, 61 and 65 are my favorite Chevrolets. I love the silver color on your model.
