  The picture's kind of tell you what they are. I believe these are the oldest Matchbox cars in my Regular wheels collection. I have 67 of the 75 cars & trucks. So I need a few more. 42 In the collection have boxes, the remaining do not have boxes. I will post more as the days go by.

These four are among my favourite early Lesney Matchbox cars Randy. I still have several of the No.32 Jaguar E-Type coupes as I also collect Jaguars and tried to get variations of castings. Your boxes are in really good condition. Having 42 still with boxes puts you into a fairly exclusive group of Matchbox collectors.

Thank you for sharing these.

@david-green          Well David I am sure you have heard of the old saying you get what you pay for. That's me lol. Don't tell anyone but collecting old Matchbox and Hot Wheels is one of the things I enjoy the most. I like having them. Probably my favorite toy as a kid. That and my bb gun. As a kid we were not rich so I did not have alot of toys. I had probably about 60 Matchbox and Hot Wheel cars and that was it. But I took care of them and they lasted until I was to old to play with them and I gave them away. Thanks for your comments.

Randy;

I have these ones as well and love them.  I find it very interesting (and rather humorous) regarding the effect these little jewels have on me.  For example, the second I saw your post pics this morning it made me smile and brightened my mood.  I guess it must be based in nostalgia as you say.  Like you and David I have most of them and they form a part of my model collection I could never part with.

These vintage Matchbox cars look excellent ! It's great they are still a part of your collection and I'll bet many of us got a start with cars such as these. They are in remarkably fine shape.

@jack-dodds  It is great that I have a few young grandkids that allow me to still go out and make roads and play in the dirt with them. Everyone thinks oh how nice playing cars with the kids. I am just reliving my youth. I don't like it when they do not play right lol !  A smile to the face and a happy feeling, a toy that delivers year after year.
