Tomica No. F13 Model T Ford Happy Home Bread Van
The Tomica Foreign toyline is a line of miniature toy cars, just like those in the classic Tomica toyline. The line ran from April 1976 to October 1987 before being discontinued. The purpose of this sub-line was to focus on cars made in countries outside of Japan, to appeal to those overseas who might be less familiar with Japanese brands. The classic Tomica line had been focused exclusively on Japanese cars. When the line was dropped, foreign cars were included in the main line as usual. Most of the cars in the F-series were remade in the main line.
Cars in this series were marked with an "F" before their number, and the box contained a picture of a flag from the vehicle's country of origin. Models released in this set tended to be available in a variety of colours and designs.
Interestingly, the base says No.F11 as this base was borrowed from another Tomica Model T car. These early Tomica models were all made in Japan.
