Husky 1573 Garage Personnel 1:64th scale
Husky were one of the Mettoy brands available in the 1960's. The brand were exclusively sold in FW Woolworths.
This set of figures were one of four sets available. They are unusual in being one of the few ranges of ready painted 1:64th scale figures available in the 1960's.
Clockwise from top left they are:
1. Mechanic lying on inspection board,
2. Mechanic kneeling with spare wheel - note this wheel with a chrome hub and separate plastic tyre were fitted to the later Husky vehicle releases,
3. Foreman standing with clip board,
4. Mechanic kneeling with jack,
5. Mechanic standing with oil can,
6. Mechanic standing learning forward with sponge.
Poses 3, 4 & 5 were also used in Corgi Rockets Super-Stock Gift Sets released in 1970.
Husky Models 1967 NSU Ro80
Husky Models 1967 NSU Ro80 is being given a full service inspection by Husky Models Garage Personnel set. Both feature in the 1968 Husky catalogue. The NSU Ro80 is illustrated in primrose yellow, not a colour the model was actually released in, with the Garage Personnel figure set getting a mention only as number 1573.
Moving in close.

For this backdrop I selected the Wrenn Formula 152 Trackside Pits which was an accessory to their 1:52nd scale slot racing system and available throughout the 1960’s.

Hi Chris,
I knew about these back then but never found them available in Canada. Pre eBay unfortunately.
Great figures (that I've never seen before ) but wait a minute, looking at that price sticker.... How much did they cost?

@david-green I didn't see these Husky figure sets when they were first issued either. Only time I saw them was in the Corgi Rockets catalogue where they were included in some of the Rockets Gift Sets.

@chris When first released they would be around 2/- that's 10p in new pence! The £12 sticker price is what I purchased these for at a toy fair some time ago. Now these figure sets are around £65 if you want them on the blister and about £6 each if loose.
Here is a link to an actual sold price:

They look great, Chris, and would make a fine addition to a scene or for photographs.

@mikedetorrice Thanks Mike. I have a couple of other Husky figure sets from the late 1960's and time willing I will post these in diorama type settings.

Excellent, Chris ! I will look forward to them.
For additional information I took a couple of photos from Husky and Rockets catalogues which mentions or illustrates these figures.

Page 20 from the 1968 Husky catalogue. The Holiday Time Gift Set is showcasing the later chrome wheel hubs which had separate tyres. These added considerable realism to the previous plastic one piece wheel units.
Also mentioned on this page are the four different plastic figure sets with only 1571 illustrated and two sets of traffic signs. During this period Husky introduced a range of accessories to increase not only play value but enabled realistic settings to be made.

BTW I just bought and received the Jaguar Pace car shown in the image bottom left.
