Happy Canada day to all of our Canadian members/friends.

This year the vocal minority are calling on Canadians to not celebrate Canada Day because of some of the wrongs done in the name of colonialism in the last couple of centuries. I understand and appreciate their upset of course, but IMO if you study world history there is an obvious consistent pattern of some sort of mistreatment by the country or group of people taking over any particular inhabited area. It is a sad and sometimes tragic pattern throughout history which we should strive to improve upon but to not celebrate all that is good with one's country is counter productive to such improvement. This is not a political statement nor a criticism btw....just one person's respectful thoughts.
