I vote Mercury with a qualifier. Of these two yellow convertibles I find the Buick more appealing but in general I liked the 69 Mercury HT styling more than the Buick. Very close though as both are very nice and they both came with powerful engines and great handling for large cars of that era. I worked in a Lincoln Mercury dealership service area in 1969 as a kid (my first full time job) and got to drive many Mercurys. I loved them.
The Mercury totally-I have always been very fond of the style of the '69/70 Mercury Marquis. Many years ago, I had an opportunity to buy a Monterey Convertible. I came very close, but it needed some work, more than I thought I could deal with, so I passed. Unfortunately they are somewhat rare, as I never see them.
