Here's something you will likely not see again! I received this in an e-mail this morning as a video with no information provided.

Looks like Britain but where and when was it?  Any information would be appreciated.

Looks like the life-size cast from Shining Time Station (Thomas and Friends).

That is amazing. Even back in the day 16 "tied" steamers would be an unthinkable, unnecessary proposition.  I wish I could've been there!

Incredible. Getting them all to run in unison is amazing.

I'm not a steam train nerd (although I do like them) but those definitely aren't British-style locos.

If they aren't American or Canadian then I strongly suspect they may be in South Africa - they ran large numbers of big steam locos and a lot of them had those distinctive smoke deflectors (sometimes called "elephant ears" or "blinkers") at the front. But I can't prove it.

I don't know where they are from but they are definitely not American. The couplers are clearly European.

Hi Everyone.

I did find the source for the 16 Steam Engine video. It was from the Wolsztyn Parada Parowozów Steam Locomotives Parade in Poland. This is an annual event in Eolsztyn and features engines from all over Europe. This is fro 2008. My favourite is the little Great Western 2-6-2T from Britain as compared to the big brute German 4-10-0 steamers.  The rest are from continental Europe.  YouTube has several videos of other years.
