Nice of Mr. Ford to give the weekends off.
Well as it stated, Henry Ford instituted the "40 hour work week". And in hindsight, it would be hard to fathom how all of our work life's would have been if that 40 hour work week wasn't something that we could all count on. Of course some people do (and have) worked more hours, but in many of those instances that was a personal choice. I think Ford recognizing that workers needed time to relax and refuel their brains, spending time with their families and enjoying other activities was perhaps the single most innovative advance that came along.
