I've taken thousands of pictures in museums and at shows, however I rarely had the luxury to read the info plaques so I typically photograph them as well for later reference. Here is an interesting story I just discovered reviewing old photos.

Beautiful old car unrestored.  Darn, I tried to read the show card but my old eyes just won't focus down to that level. Thanks anyway.

Beautiful!  Here's a very similar 1/43 pickup by U.S. Model Mint:

Often, plaques tell far more than looking just at the car. Thanks for the reminder.

My first car was a 1937 Studebaker Dictator sedan which I paid $25.00 for when I was 13 years old. There are models of the coupe and coupe express but not the sedan.  Two years ago John Roberts, for those of you who don't know, is a master model builder of 1;43 scale cars, built a model of my car for me. It is a real work of art and a center piece in my collection.

@chav thanks Chav, what an extraordinary experience it would be taking the car out for its first drive after all those years.
