This shows some top-shelf workmanship. It looks beautiful. But, for me, I find it kind of sad. Nonetheless, the owner obviously had the money and this is what he wanted. What do you think?

I love the leatherwork and dash redo but IMHO the carpets detract.
Have agree with Jack, the carpets definitely looks shabby compared to the seats, dash door panels…
Thanks for the good post, John. The Lincoln is a favorite of mine. The new interior is very nice, even though for some reason the carpets just don't seem to keep up the new level. Maybe it's the photography?
Wow, just beautiful! I remember having this model in my collection years ago. True it is not original. As mentioned, it is what the owner wanted. I can see they took great pains to not go overboard. I have seen some modifications like this that are clearly not in sync with the car at all, on the brink of looking gawdy. The contrast in the same color as the body paint is great. I think it is a great job. An image of the original would be helpful and I found a few here: http://automotivemileposts.com/lincoln/lincoln1963interiortrim.html
@d-m-holcombe I think the overmats are just too thick; doesn't look right in that car. Maybe in a car from another century ago, but not in this Mid-Century model.
