Interesting to watch, but the time it took I would have gotten soaked if a major storm came out of nowhere.
please keep the engine running or your battery will be empty....
@joop Good suggestion Joop. My 63 Thunderbird convertible top mechanism will drain the battery and it doesn't have half the motors this Lincoln has.
@carsman1958 You took the words out of my mouth. The way it storms now...! But sure great to watch.
Agreed, love to watch these. I also remember building a scale model (AMT) of this year. I liked the tail light assembly in the bumper and the headlight treatment. I saw an ad somewhere for a white one. When I find it I will post it. These were very elegant cars. And I just realized, there is no trunk space with the top down unless I am missing something.
@joop now I am thinking, the manual operation could be fine with me, just keep all the gears lubricated. I guess the idea of getting out while wearing a tux to put the top up or down wasn't favored.
Many thanks, John. I enjoyed the film and I remember how impressed I was with that Lincoln when it was new and i was younger. I have read how many electric motors were involved but I have forgotten. Good film!
HA! You guys kill me..... My Sebring convertible does the same thing (by remote no less) and no one gives a ****! LoL! 😀 😉 🤔 😎 😀
