@joop  Good suggestion Joop. My 63 Thunderbird convertible top mechanism will drain the battery and it doesn't have half  the motors this Lincoln has.

Agreed, love to watch these.  I also remember building a scale model (AMT) of this year.  I liked the tail light assembly in the bumper and the headlight treatment.  I saw an ad somewhere for a white one.  When I find it I will post it.  These were very elegant cars. And I just realized, there is no trunk space with the top down unless I am missing something.

@joop now I am thinking, the manual operation could be fine with me, just keep all the gears lubricated. I guess the idea of getting out while wearing a tux to put the top up or down wasn't favored.

Many thanks, John.  I enjoyed the film and I remember how impressed I was with that Lincoln when it was new and i was younger.  I have read how many electric motors were involved but I have forgotten.  Good film!
