Jack I love it too. what fun it would be to drive.
This was my 1969 Ranchero. It's hard to tell by these old photographs, but the color was gulfstream aqua. It was a mess when I bought it in 1987. I used it for hauling construction supplies when I bought my house, and then in 1989 I restored it. After that it became a garage queen rather than a work truck, so I reluctantly sold it in 1997. Interesting factoid, the Ford corporate rear bumper and tailgate were used on Falcon, Fairlane, Torino, Comet, and Montego wagons as well as the Rancheros from 1966 to 1971.
What a great car/truck Pete. I'm sure you must have regrets that you sold this beauty. Thanks for sharing the pictures and story.
Love the color. I worked with a guy who had a fastback in that color.

Pete; One you would like to have back I'm sure. The '69 is my favorite Ranchero based on the Fairlane chassis. I love the color too.
