Love the Mark III, Mark V, & Mark VII, with out the vinyl the way I love even more, thanks.
Love the Mark V, but the absence of the vinyl roof does not do the car justice. The formal roof line screams out for the vinyl roof. One would suspect the owner "cheaped out" just to save a few bucks.

@sizedoesmatter, I like the no-viny-roof for its clean lines and rarity. But I suspect it would grow old on me rather quickly.

Vinyl roof on a car is like wood grain on a steel car or an add on continental wheel with the diving platform, just doesn't seem to belong on cars and personally I much prefer cars without them.
I've seen only a few others with this delete-option, and I really like it. Somehow, all those "yard stick" lines seem to pop that much more.
The vinyl roof suits this car IMHO; makes it appear more elegant.
@jack-dodds I agree Jack. My 79 Mark V that I sold a few months ago had a full vinyl along with the moon roof option. The car was turquoise and the vinyl matched it. Apparently the full vinyl roof was somewhat rare as compared to the half vinyl as I had only seen one other besides one shown in the dealer showroom literature.

Maybe you're growing old rather quickly... !!!!
Ok...just kidding !!
Not serious here...just wanted to be funny...
I love those MK's with any of the three selections.
But I ALWAYS want that 'Opera' glass insert.
