I haven't attended a car show since Covid began-I hope too soon, the Woodward Dream Cruise is coming up in a few weeks...
In the meantime, I still have a substantial stash of unposted photos to go through from previous years shows. I took quite a few photos of this Cadillac, I have always found the 4-door styling of the 50-52 Cadillacs more appealing. With that, I had a little fun with a couple of them.
and the rest of the photos from the show - 2014 Cadillac-LaSalle Fall Festival @ the Gilmore Car Museum. This was the Dedication Ceremony of the Cadillac-LaSalle Museum & Research Center.

I went to Concours d'Dlegance on 7/25 ... big crowd, but the show was a disappointment. Apparently it rained heavily the night before so they moved the cars from the golf course to the parking around St. John. Usually the parking around the hotel was reserved for VIP tickets, but now they moved the VIP parking to the regular shuttle parking 4 miles away. I had regular ticket and the parking that is usually a big pain in the but was even bigger nightmare. It took me one hour to park and get to a show that was on a parking lot. There were fewer prewar cars than usual, I think some of the owners just left after it was decided to move the show. Next year hey are planning to move the show to Detroit, which is even bigger disappointment. St. John is just 20 min from my house ...
isnt it great to see car show pics again? thanks John.
Chav spending an hour trying to find a parking spot seems to happen a lot in some of our Melbourne shopping centre carparks!

Unfortunately, in suburban Michigan slow parking is only due to poor organization (I was not searching for parking, I was waiting in lines), it used to be much better several years ago, I also paid +$185 for 5 tickets for me and my family and brought my family to this "glamorous" show ... , and the organizers were proud with their "record breaking" attendance and the great job they did moving all cars overnight from the golf course to the parking. Yes, it is great to see car shows again, but this is top of the crop, best of the best ... I am not settling for mediocrity ...
This is how it used to look:
Will post pictures from last Sunday in the coming days.
below is an article about moving the show to DIA; the Archdiocese of Detroit and Plymouth township are going to build a luxury gated apartment complex on the St. John golf course, St. John was such a great location ...

I was sorry to have missed the show this year. Maybe not quite as much now. I am not thrilled about going downtown that will not be convenient. I used to live 10 minutes from the show. The last few years, it’s about 1/2 hour. Adding another hour to that is not good. Too bad, I guess I shall see how it works out for next year.
Thanks for the heads up.

John, searched my files from the last few years, couldn't find anything in pink and green, but I am sure you are going to like this one (from 2019's show):
