I confess that building models, especially cars, has become an increasing part of my retirement years. Sometimes I take the easy way out and build factory-painted kits, such as those by Testors. But today's mail brought an "oldie" that WILL DEFINITELY BE PAINTED. Anybody disagree?
Ah, but hang on a minute. If you just leave the body that colour, and paint the wheels and interior - and maybe the top - a kind of dark salmon pink, the combination would make our esteemed Moderator very happy. You DO want to make him happy, don't you?
And the finished product would be something of a Milestone in your model-making career. So to speak.
And might I just say that you have been delighting us with the Terrible Two-Tone Monster on regrettably rare occasions of late, and we all fervently hope you are not losing your enthusiasm for it in any way.
Goddam! Isn't there supposed to be a "Delete Post" button somewhere? Help, I can't find it! And my fingers are trembling too much!
Yes, I think you hit the nail right on the head there. Such unflinching self-appraisal is greatly to be admired. Not that it will make you feel any better, of course.

Just a suggestion for the body colors David. TS-15 is actually a bit darker than it shows in my pic. Love to see the finished product.
Many thanks, Geoff. I like the two blues! But I think the bright red leather seats just aren't right. I've been looking at pictures of similar 1911 Packards but sadly the original photos and drawings are not in color. Restored versions have colors all over the spectrum. Right now I'm a little unsteady for precision model construction, so I will have time to keep looking. This is the type of model that gives me something to look forward to!
