there was such a great role, going unfulfilled, for more pork sausage......watch as these Brit kids discover one of life`s higher callings
Pro Tip....a liberal application of fresh-ground,tellicherry pepper and an uncontrolled application of Louisiana style hot pepper sauce......
Pro Tip II.......always consume within reasonable walking distance of a verified nap location*
A surprisingly accepting introduction to American southern food by British school children. I was pretty conservative in my tastes at that age and likely missed a lot of great food experiences. John, I still have not experienced sausage gravy as you just don’t find it here in Canada and I never got around to trying it in my trips down south.

@david-green....... there are a few memorable breakfast food experiences that I`m sure will always be foremost in what ever corner of the brain that houses that sort of thing.......on several occasions,it came to me to make the sausage gravy for one or another Cracker Barrel restaurants.....this is done,pre-opening,in a small steam kettle, using CB`s superior grade of pork sausage patties,a good bit of rendered bacon fat, whole milk,Martha White flour,etc.......when this is properly finished,it is then served over biscuits made just moments before.....a steam-bath of barnyard delight, right there at your table....after my years in restaurant mgmt, I moved over into the equally distinguished Big Truck driving career.....traversing all the lower 48 and Canada,I had many opportunities to enjoy the local "brew" of sausage gravy over very questionable offerings of "biscuits"....from "scared to use the shower"Mom and Pop joints, to Iowa 80....no place else I found in over a million miles came close to what Cracker Barrel set out on their tables.....Bob Evans must get an honorable mention here
@david-green David, if you ever make a trip south I'll introduce you to bisquits and gravy. Every Saturday morning I meet with friends for breakfast and have bisquits and gravy. My treat.

unseen and untasted......it would be physically impossible for you to serve ANYTHING but the best......please consider my earlier ratings as having been superseded Bob
John and Bob, thank you for the persuasions and offers. On my next trip south I will stop at a Cracker Barrel or Bob Evans and make a point of ordering it.
@john-barry JB, I am no cook The bisquits and gravy I enjoy are prepared by the hands of a local restaurant. I must admit that Cracker Barrel breakfast fixins are outstanding.
