Made in 1680, but doesn’t that look like a Tudor Rose?

I agree Paul. That is definitely a Tudor rose as used by Elizabeth 1st. As the Tudor era ended in 1603, I wonder if the lock is older than stated.
I suppose it could be later made by someone who regrets the Stuart dynasty after the Cromwell Protectorate and the opulence of the restoration.
