We listen to 1.FM Gaia, a Swiss-based Internet radio-station that has world-music.

Quite enlightening.

An eclectic blend of sounds; at home, either via the TV on several cable channels (Spectrum) or via Amazon Unlimited music through several Echo Dot devices (Alexa).  The two most listened to in the cars are are Classical and Legends of Country Music.

In the Chicago-Riverside area, I used to always listen to WLS and also WCFL for rock and roll/rock music. It is where I heard the newest Beatles songs !

WLS went to rock music in about 1960 and before that I believe was a country music station (WLS Barn Dance). WLS stood for World's Largest Store and was originally owned by Sears, I believe.

WCFL stood for Chicago Federation of Labor and was originally owned by that union.

WLS was a clear-channel 50,000 watt AM station and could be heard across the country (and further) at night. I remember picking it up on my Dad's transistor radio at night while on vacation in Miami Beach, FL !

Recorded two flash drives with over 300 songs on each.  That is it, no radio for the past 20 years.

All are SoCal stations

88.1 KKJZ for jazz & blues

89.3 KPCC NPR for just a few programs

91.5 KUSC for classical

95.5 KLOS for classic rock & Breakfast with the Beatles on Sundays 9AM-12. Heidi & Frank 6-9AM weekdays

100.3 K-LOVE for contemporary Christian music

570AM for Dodgers baseball

640AM for talk radio

830AM for Angels baseball

1070AM for traffic reports as they do these reports on the 5's

Yep, I'm across the spectrum and radio dial. I've always loved radio. I miss the old radio programs that used to be re-broadcast at 9:00 PM Mon-Sun on KNX 1070. I also miss the Doctor Demento radio program that was on KMET 94.7 on Sunday nights. I never missed his show and I would listen from beginning to end.

I haven’t listened to the radio in over 20 years…I buy CDs (very eclectic tastes) & burn them into iTunes, then use my iPods to listen to what I want to hear BECAUSE there is no better DJ than me!

I agree !!! I'm not going to let some station manager pick out what they want me to hear I'll pick out what I want to hear...👍
