They can be. We've had solid hard wood floors in both houses we've lived in, here in town, for the last 30 years. In addition, we had wood laminate floors in a couple rooms in the previous home. We have always shied away from wax as it requires de-waxing the build-up, on a scheduled basis. We have used Bona instead. No rug-surfing here unless I take off my shoes and do the Tom Cruise Risky Business s l i d e..............

LOL; maybe, but only after my mid-day martini! (Ya see I drinks a bit)
LOL! Wait a second....is that mid-day martini....as in singular? That might "stir" you but several will get you "shaken" all over! I highly recommend the latter to switch on the "old soft shoe".

Yep; unfortunately, my doctor suggested that I limit my Bombay Sapphire perfect martinis to but one a day.
