Being car guys while growing older is a good thing. Many of us have been joined by the

various forums provided by the D4C for many years going back to 1998 here on-line and or older/longer via mail from our newsletter; you might say we are growing old together.

Our passion for cars may give us an edge in the aging process; why?, because we are used to rebuilding our cars when they break down. We even buy broken cars and restore them. We believe in rebirth.

A lot of us are the same age give our take ten years....like cars, we expect certain things to give out after a certain amount of time......clutch......hair, Transmission.....knee,,,,,,,,motor.......bypass or stints.....rusted body......hip and joints job........computer........memory.......etc

Being car guys we are used to just doing what has to be done and keep showing up to the car show. But what is really special is that we all have each other to share getting old with. As we all found out getting old ain't for sissies......but it is sure is nice being able to share the journey with a lot of dear friends who we may have never met in person before but have shared our lives on a daily bases for almost 20 years. We are a fortunate group to always know you have a large extra family out there 24/7.

Anytime you need a prayer chain, you know you have one here.

Oh, and don't forget Ranger Bill's 'Geezer Tonic for all ailments" $29.95......The success is in the proof

Well said, Paul, and true in all respects.

But, in order for sites like this one to survive, we have to be a place where younger folks can come in and relax as well. That may mean stretching a little, from time to time, and not allowing ourselves to get too bogged down in a bygone era. I love my memories and many of those shared here in the Lounge. But I also want to keep my feet planted firmly in the present with an eye on the horizon, like many of our friends in the Lounge.

My vision for the Lounge is to make it a safe place to hang out, a place where we can share opinions, pictures and articles without the risk of angry or overly negative feedback, a place where we respect each other, care for each other and help each other grow.
