Chris, an electronic shift. Electronic park, neutral and reverse, then drive and manual to enable paddle shifters on wheel.
Right, right...Β Β but I had to razz you a bit.Β πΒ Β Soon Cadillac will phase out all shift-levers and replace them with buttons or one round "wheel."Β Β
My wife was bit upset (but kind of impressed ) to discover she now shifts using buttons.Β I had to remind her that "no gear-shift lever"Β is nothing new.Β My 1957 Dodge was all pushbuttons....a very reliable & durable cable-line set-up!Β I had a '56 Packard that was electronic push-button....which was terrible and had to be replaced with a gear-shift lever.
I just know one day, her drive-by-wire system will glitch, and I'll be stuck in reverse!Β π π― π
Wow, a CD player is like having an 8-track. In 2018 I ordered a new car.... for laughs I asked about a CD player (I mainly use memory sticks that I plug into the USB ports... 2,500 +free songs I uploaded from YT )Β Β A CD player was a dealer-installed option for $1,000 and it would go in the glove box.Β Β Naturally, I passed.Β
