Ben, in Austin a couple of years ago a young punk tried to hijack a woman's new BMW sedan. He opened her door, stuck a pistol in her face, and dragged her out of the car. Fortunately, her cell phone was in her pocket and she called the police. Just so happened that this took place about two blocks from the main police HQ! Just so happened that the kid couldn't drive the BMW, which had a manual transmission! As he struggled to drive it away, several cop cars arrived on scene.
Moral: stupid punk criminals need to be more selective in the cars they try to hijack! He'll need to find a new line of work when he gets out of jail.
Maybe he could sell liquid soap to other jailbirds...lol
AND kudos to her for having a manual tranny ! A dear friend of mine had a MT BMW and when asked why replyed "I drive the car, the car doesn't drive me".
Most young people think a manual tranny is a Spanish guy with an odd sex change.
That figures.
