Chevrolet El Camino vs Ford Ranchero

Like most other things built to serve more than one purpose they fulfilled what they were designed for but, they did not due either of their purposes  well; were not a good truck or a good car but were sharp to look at.

For me it would the El Caminos for all the years they were made.

Thanks for this Chav.  I have always liked the 50s thru early 70s El Caminos and Rancheros although I have never owned one.  Many people pan them because they are neither car nor pickup truck in the traditional sense, but I like them because they are something different.  I enjoy seeing them at car shows.

This type of vehicles and vans based on such platforms have been popular overseas for decades, more utilitarian though.
