When I look outside my patio door, I don't have to think very hard to know which season I prefer.

HINT: It's NOT winter!

Hilo Summer July 2021
Hilo Winter January 2023

Looks like a really nice place to sit with a cool drink and relax in the sun George.

For the months of June through September if we're lucky.  After that it's anyone's guess when winter begin or end.  This year it was the 3rd week of May before could plant the flowers without a fear of a freeze.  The month of June has been warm with no rain and we're actually nearing drought conditions even though we had 95+ inches of snow over the winter.  Minnesota is just a weird state with there really being no normal that you can count on.

On nice summer evenings it is very relaxing and calming to sit out there.  I usually bring an old car book to browse through and my wife will crochet while enjoying calmness.

For most of my working career, travel was a necessary part of the equation and snow was always an obstacle. When I had the chance to move south many years ago I jumped at the chance. Today my enjoyment of snow is by looking at others pictures. The best part of living in the south is that I can enjoy my 1/1 collector cars twelve months of the year.
