MY MOTHER THE CAR

The car in the show was called a Porter but was a made-up car built with Ford parts and some creativity along with a Chevrolet motor. There was a manufactured car by the same name but it had no connection.

Thank you Mr. Jackman. I never actually watched the show, as a talking car was a little above my fantasy acceptance level. According some sources the actual Porter car used was customized by George Barris, of "Batmobile" fame.

Hmm, interesting. It looks nice, I also have heard of the show but never watched it.
@geno I never watched it either. As George said, it was above my acceptance level.
I remember watching it as a kid. One of the dumbest show premises ever.
I used to watch this tv show, primarily because it was about a car. It was pretty campy and only lasted one season but it was entertaining to this 11 year old. I still remember the words to the title song. “Everybody knows in the second life…”
I swear I had a model kit of it...🤔 Yep, just googled it. Steve
