Hmm, there's times when there are extra innings...2-3 AM games ?

For sure....that's when the peanut shells get really deep underfoot.....oh, and the beer cans too!

Well actually NOT the beer cans.  They quit selling beer at baseball games at the end of the 7th inning.  So if a game goes in to extra-innings, fans have to enjoy the game without Barley Pop stimulation.

This is true George, which is why, in close games, discerning/experienced fans stock up just before the 7th inning stretch. Wink

LOL, I hear you.  Having worked for four years (2010-2013) at the Twins Target Field, I know first hand about those fans that seem to only "think" they can enjoy a game if they are liquored up.  Sadly, many of them make the ballgame experience for others around them, less than what it should be.  And the worst fans to visit Target Field were Yankee fans.  They were always rowdy and obnoxious.

@georgeschire My experience has been limited to many Mariners games and a few Jays games over the years plus one round of Grapefruit League spring training.  I must say that overall I have been quite positively impressed by fan behavior relative to over consumption.  I have also been equally impressed by how well managed crowds have been by security; which contributes in a huge way to everyone enjoying the game.  I LOVE going to ball games and always try to sit about 15 or so rows back, between the dugout and first base as I can observe the pitching and plays at first best from there.  As a side note; when the Jays visit the Mariners in Seattle it is always packed with fans and traditionally half of them are Canadians.  It makes for a good natured, fun time in the crowd!

I concur with you about fans overall being on good behavior at ballparks.  As I'd mentioned above, I've attended games in all 30 of the major leagues over the past 30 years and I've never had a incident that I could say was bad.  When I referenced the Yankees though, when they came to Minnesota at Target Field, the Yankee fans in attendance were not good examples of what a fan should be.  And I'll add that, in three experiences at Yankee Stadium in New York, two of the times attending, I vowed I'd never return.  The fans to politely put it, were just obnoxious.  A lot of vulgar language and rudeness displayed.  And I can honestly say that of all the parks and fans, those Yankee experiences stand out as not good memories.
