Collectible Automobile magazine: I would like to give a shout out to Collectible Automobile magazine for the contents of their August, 2020 edition, which I have just read this morning. IMO it is outstanding; containing articles on the 1957 to 59 DeSoto, The cars of the 1940s, The story of the MGB, The Monte Carlo, The National Packard Museum, and comments on the Hupmobile, Chrysler Turbine Car, 1955 Oldsmobile and more. Great reading for the automobile enthusiast!!!
Collectible Automobile is the best automotive magazine ever to be published. I have EVERY issue!

Great magazine. I have many issues from the mid 80s to early 90s.
It's a high quality magazine with wonderful photos and informative articles. I stopped my subscription when I moved many years ago and never got around to renewing. I thought they might not be publishing anymore. Glad to hear they are still going. So many magazines are gone or have moved online.
All that in one issue !? Heck, let's throw in the proverbial 'kitchen sink'.
I think it is a great magazine.
So do I, and some duplicates as well. And I agree with you.
One thing Jack neglected to mention---there are NO ADS at all. That makes it even better!
YES.....good point.
I agree 101% about CA. Another one I like for the writing and photography is a UK mag, 'Car'.
George if I recall correctly, you've written letters to the editor that got published!

I agree about CA...and also The Automobile
That's a British publication, right John, not to be confused with the U.S.'s recently dead "Automobile" magazine? I'm not familiar with that magazine and will see if Barnes & Noble carries it.
In the August 2014 issue, the magazine did a story on '34-'36 LaSalles, and in Dennis Doty's outstanding column on model cars, he forgot one that met the criteria: the Brooklin 84 1934 Series 350 coupe. Dennis doesn't miss many, as far as I can recall. So I emailed the editor and pointed out the omission, but said that I wasn't submitting it for publication because I didn't want to seem to be nit-picking.
The editor emailed me and asked for permission to run the letter because, he said, Dennis misses so few and is such an authority on miniature cars, that they wanted to take the opportunity to poke him a little bit for missing one. So I said okay and my letter was printed in the Dec. 2014 issue. The editor said that they enjoyed teasing Dennis about missing it! Getting the letter published was fun, and even more so because it concerned a Brooklin 1/43rd model.
David Knight has also had letters published, and has had his photo submissions printed in the "Car Spotter" section three or four times.
Up until around fifteen years ago I had every issue published up to that time.
Sadly a SNAFU by the then recently moved subscription managers went beyond my limited capacity to willingly suffer the inefficiency of a publisher's desk jockey. So the long time subscription went into free fall.
I have several car friends who have every issue who persevered with had no problem with the CA subscription agent-apparently, so it was my loss not to be still a subscriber.
But, CA is one of the finest publications of its type with excellent photography and well researched articles and much more.
It is a testament to CA 's quality that it exists unchanged in a world of plummeting sales and readership, of redefining or reinventing themselves in an often sinking market and magazine closure, CA grandly rocks on, steady as you like.
'Automobile' mag was one of my favs.
I liked it when David E. was running it, and also when Jean Jennings
Lindamood took over. When new management fired her, they fired me with her. The latest editor is, I think, a terrible one and I cancelled my subscription after just a few issues last year.
I won't miss it.
