Everyone knows how much dogs love to have their nails clipped...

Fortunately our 83 pound yellow lab/ golden retriever mix doesn't mind and actually likes to go to the vet.

@bob-jackman   My fav four-legged beasts, Labs just love being attended to.  I think it's in their genes.

My brothers dog, part Pit hates having it's claws trimmed.  We used to have a teenage girl that he would let do them. When my brothers girlfriend tried to doing them, He started snapping at her. When my brother tried, same results. This dog is usually very passive.  He lets the cats climb all over him.  When my brother and his exgirlfriend yelled at each other. If I yell at the cats or my computer, he hides under the table or behind the coach.

It was about 1980, I was going to a neighborhood club, and saw this little white fluffy dog that looked lost.  I was not a dog person, but I stopped and tried to find the little dog.  I could not find him.  A month later I met the person who I would share my life for the next 20 years at that same club.  As it happens, he found the little white stray dog, adopted him a month before we met.  Our little white Dog we named Mitch, and he was with me for 21 years.  I guess the three of us were meant to be together.

At the same time, going to the same club, I came out to find a little black cat in the back seat of my Eldo convertible. I named her Mehitable, and she was with me for 22 years.  Mitch and Mehitable traveled up and down the East Coast for decades in the back seat of our cars.  So many wonderful memories.

I have had so many pets, loved them all.  Some of my pets have traveled around the world with me, been in more countries then most people will every experience.  I could write a book about traveling internationally with my pets.

It is amazing how some dogs react to nail clipping when it has to be done so often. My dogs generally have been good. My cats however, a far different story with major grudges held.
