It figures that NASCAR was the behind the scenes prompt for this feature.  They apparently weren't successful this model year but they finally got it done in '631/2  though.

Only a handful were built so I am guessing only 5 or so. No wonder I have never heard about it. But looking at the stills, it seems as though, as an auxiliary top, it would fit over the convertible, when down, boot etal. Then, if left in the garage and rain came, you can still put the top up.   ???   Great old ad piece John!!
