Maybe cuz they're better suited to cages 'n zoos than Humans are.
I'm only fond of bananas when they're in a Sundae.

Yep, they'd dance around in bikinis. At least Goldie's 'Monkey's' were nicer than Judy Carne's.

Mt rebuttal to that accusation is that the only time in my life I have ever been any semblance of a trunk monkey was being smuggled into the drive-in movies in the trunk of my buddy's '58 Buick sedan. Come to think of it we were somewhat drunk trunk monkeys too.
for bonus points here:
1) What was the name of the film playing at the drive-in ?
2) Name one time ANYONE has ever known of a SOBER trunk monkey
1. Don't recall but likely a low budget thriller requiring minimal concentration.
2. Ummm....no.
Add question 3: Was there ever an occasion when drunk trunk monkeys being smuggled into the drive-in weren't subjected to one of them breaking wind?
NO !!!! ask a tough one whydoncha........like what happened when all you miscreants were dragged out of that cavernous trunk and subjected to a tounge lashing in the recreation area...... where all of the evening`s "stowaways" were coerced into taking a pledge of honesty

@john-barry We NEVER got caught (more likely the people in charge ignored us because they knew it would be good for their concession sales). The people displayed look similar to us as kids but just a bit smarter.

Four great confusions still unresolved:
2. If people evolve from monkeys, why are monkeys still around?
They are called Apes and they were the control group in the experiment. Monkeys were the control group in the Ape experiment and so on and so forth ... The question is:
In what experiment humans are the control group?

@chav The way the world is going these days I think the words "humans" and "control" may be almost mutually exclusive. Just kidding....sort of.
