Ah, the "Old Hot Dog Woman". A title not easily aspired to, without lots of practice!
I'm not sure I trust a woman who serves old hot dogs!

LOL!!
Never in a million tears could I have imagined I would be sharing bites of a hotdog with an older woman in her kitchen on Memorial Day.

I seem to recall it was Fleetwood Mac who dedicated their song "Rock On Hot Dog Woman" to these fine ladies.

Good memory! The leads were done by Stevie 'Oscar Meyer' Nicks!
In response to the oft requested details pertaining to Canadian history by international Forum members I offer the following facts. Thanks goes to Forum member John Barry for creating his accurate display depicting this historical event, which prompted the following narrative by Canadian historian Dr. Lotta Bull of Nunavut University:
When the relatively primitive Eskimos in Canada's barren north experienced their first telephone system installation in the 1920s they mistakenly thought it was playground equipment and went crazy for the perceived monkey bars. This necessitated a volunteer fire department response to knock them off the structure. Government dignitaries attending the ribbon cutting ceremonies that day were disgusted by the scene before them and as a result nicknamed these miscreants a bunch of "hosers". In their defense the outraged Eskimos argued that they were simply overcome with joy while playing on the strange structure and stated that as a means of recreation they were "really into it". Because of their thick accents the government officials misunderstood the Eskimos and took them literally, so to placate them the tribe were renamed Inuit. Over time the "hoser" moniker and the new tribal name caught on and both are officially recognized and frequently used Canadian terms to this day.
