Remember when we were told in school that it's always "I" before "E" except after "C"?  Well that was proven wrong information.

I Before E (2018 03 08 00 49 43 UTC)

@john-barry,

It was once said that everything we needed to know, we learned in Kindergarten.  Often I've thought that to be true.  Smile

Seriously, I would say this relative to Grade 7.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh George......there was no Kindergarten.......we had to go out and milk the cows and chickens and then each of us were shepherded to the coal mine and warned not to return without a full bucket.....then we got oatmeal and a whoopin`

really....no kindergarten for any of the kids I knew.....our parents were,of course,single income,with mom at home to teach us as they would.......mine was a substitute teacher at the catholic grade-school down the street.....(wish I`d paid more attention)

@john-barry, LOL, sounds like you had it about as rough as I did growing up.

Just one quick question JB...how do you milk a chicken??   Now about the paying attention....I've often wondered what some of us might have become if our brains had only developed common sense a little earlier.  I recall feeling like I was in jail every school day after Grade 7...I HATED it and I was a waste of my teachers' time.  I did appreciate the sports and the girls though of course.  Any common sense I developed was about 30 years too late.  Lol.  Oh well...whatever....life is good when the pension cheques arrive each month; right?

It`s hard to adequately describe Jack....suffice to say, that we often opted for an additional whoopin` in lieu of completing that odious task

@john-barry  Well I was raised on a farm but I sure as H.. E...double hockey sticks never milked a chicken!  I guess you just have to reach under the cluckin' thing, find a teat and pullet.

When I'm milkin' I wear my White Harlan Sanders suit and accessories.......the hen house gets real quiet and cooperative.  The frustrating part though is fillin' that teensy little bucket.
