"...late to the party..."
Nonsense, Bob's bird has a removable tonneau cover. It can seat 4, even 5 if necessary! There's always room for one more. 😀 😀
I can't help myself, one last post to Bob. I see you have a VTCI sticker on your windshield, same as on my 1966 (Vintage Thunderbird Club International). I have collected every book on T-Birds and sure I have all Ford brochures of the 1963 Bird in my collection of brochures. When you bought a new 1963 T-Bird Ford sent gifts, some I still have when my Dad bought our 1963. I still have the original crystal six glass set with the T-Bird logo etched, the original hard bound book on the production of the 1963 T-Birds (original sent to my parents plus an extra I found). What I am missing is the Tiffany silver loop keyring with a hanging silver T-Bird emblem that I had for many years, unfortunately now lost. Yes, the keyring came in the Tiffany blue box. I think Ford also sent us a 1:25 promo model of the 1963, but again that was lost over the decades. However, I have collected five variations of 1963 T-Bird promo models. I do have a number of unbuilt 1963 AMT T-Birds, some purchased 40 years ago.
When you bought a new 1963 T-Bird, Ford sent you very nice gifts. That made every T-Bird owner feel special.
Hands down, and without any reservation, my all-time favorite classic car. Nothing else comes close to comparing. And yours is my favorite year of the Sports Roadster.
If you will recall, I have my own Sports Roadster story as I came oh-so-close to buying a replica. Since it was a conversion and wasn't original, I elected not to buy it! Instead, I bought a '64 1/2, fully restored, 100-point convertible Mustang. Even though it wasn't original, to this day, I regret not buying it. I still covet the Sports Roadster. Unfortunately, my classic car ownership days are behind me now.
