a body style that I've always liked. Though the Starlight coupe is possibly more favored, I also like this post car. It really didn't need much but I did a few edits just to see what it looked like.
As found:
Cleaned up a bit:
With a mild top chop:
Chopped and sectioned below the beltline:
All in all it's a beautiful car.
Do any of the edits strike your fancy?
Enjoy!
Love the last one - #4. Probably needs an outside rearview mirror but the other subtle edits are nice enhancements.
It has always been such a beautiful automobile and Studebaker design. Raymond Lowey and team really outdid themselves with this one and earlier Studebaker was also "First By Far With A Postwar Car !"
A real stunner stock or custom and great follow on to the Studebakers after WWIi.
@bob-jackman: Me too, Bob, but these are so unsightly that I would do what upscale custom and street rod builders have done by removing the wipers and leaving the bases intact. This allowed putting wiper assemblies back on the car if needed to pass inspection or for use in rain. I've included photos of the car with wipers and the bases. Thanks, Bob.
Terry, I built a 29 Model A roadster high boy and didn't put a wiper on it as it ruined the looks of the car IMO. Instead I Rain Xed the winshield and it worked just fine the couple of times I got in the rain.
