Here is a 1963 Ford full-sized station wagon, found as a mild custom that really caught my attention.........

due to its mile deep black paint and the stance. For once, it didn't have too much stuff on it but I wondered what it would look like with some modifications. So, I did several edits and offer these three for your viewing pleasure.

As found:

63 Ford SW Custom (1)

Cleaned up the background, removed the heavy duty trailer hitch and gave it some pipes:

63 Ford SW Custom (2)

Made the taillights less visible, turned it to a 2 door wagon and gave it different pipes:

63 Ford SW Custom (4)

Overall, a nasty looking car that lends itself to modification better than many full size cars.

Does and one iteration appeal more than another?

Enjoy!

The painted bumpers detract in a very big way for me I'm afraid.  This is one car I definitely prefer stock.

First off, GREAT looking wagon! My take; I like the two-door version without the hitch but with the taillights & exhaust tips of the second pic (1st edit).

@perrone1 As most know, I prefer cars in stock condition. Since this car was modified already, I'm going with Tony's suggestions.

@jack-dodds: Usually don't appreciate the mono-color cars either, Bob, but believe it contributes to the rather sinister look of this car. Thanks for commenting.
