Hemis need more than a single carburetor. The dilemma here: how many carbs does it need?
As found:
With 2x4bbl. carbs:
With 3x2bbl. carbs:
What say ye?
2 or 3 carbs?
The grill shell also needed to be sectioned, for the car to have decent proportions.
Enjoy!
TRIPS! Love the rod! LOVE your skills!
Any of the multi carbs for me. A lot of the decision depends on the size of the hemi as each division had their own , and what components were inside. It's just as easy to over carb a motor as it is to under carb one. I also agree with the sectioning of the grill shell.
@bob-jackman: Absolutely true, Bob, Dodge and DeSoto made Hemi's in much smaller cubic inch sizes. I believe the engine in the '31 Ford is a Chrysler engine in 331, 354 or 392 cubic inches, all of which can use different sized multiple carburetors dependent on how aggressive the engine is tuned. Knowing your preference for stock automobiles, I appreciate your comments on my invariably modified offerings.
@tldaly The common thread between us is that we both like cars.
